THREE BARS SCHOLARSHIP
Rich and Lynn Ineson, who live in New River, Arizona, and are the owners of Three Bars Feed & Tack, established the Three Bars Scholarship. Drawing from their business expertise, they understand the vital role of preserving the rural lifestyle and the significance of agricultural and livestock sciences. They recognize the impact of these aspects on our way of life, food supply, and the well-being of both people and animals.
Their aim is to support local high school seniors from New River, Desert Hills, Black Canyon City, Cave Creek, Scottsdale, Rio Verde, Paradise Valley, Glendale, Surprise, Peoria or Waddell, who are determined, self-starting individuals with leadership and work experience, to pursue further education in Agriculture and/or Animal Sciences.
Two deserving students will receive a $500 scholarship to pursue studies in Agricultural or Animal Health/Livestock at a recognized 2-year or 4-year institution. If you meet these criteria, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
Criteria:
- High School Senior
- Resident of New River, Desert Hills, Black Canyon City, Cave Creek, Scottsdale, Rio Verde, Paradise Valley, Glendale, Surprise, Peoria or Waddell.
- 3.5 or Higher GPA
- Completed Application
- Applicable Transcripts
- Professional Resume
- Essay – 1000 word essay detailing your college and career plans, why you’ve chosen your area of focus and how this scholarship will benefit you.
Key Dates:
- Applications Open – November 1st
- Completed Applications (including supplemental items) – March 1st
- Review of Applications – March 1st – April 20th
- Notification of Scholarship Winners – May 1st
- Scholarship Check Presented – Not later than May 15th
