At Three Bars Feed and Tack, we strive to support our community, our youth and maintain the rural lifestyle.  With the Three Bars Academic Scholarship, each year we recognize and celebrate local youth and their aspirations to pursue a higher education and career in the areas of animal care, animal health or agricultural studies. The Three Bars Academic Scholarship is an important investment in the next generation: bolstering their future and inspiring greatness!  

The Scholarship will be awarded to a local high school senior who imbues our values and wants to support a lifestyle that includes or supports animals or agricultural related studies. 

Who Can Participate: 

·       High School Seniors pursuing 2 year or 4 year studies in Animal Care, Animal Health or Agricultural Studies. 

·       Residing in Phoenix and North Valley communities. 

Scholarship submission requirements; 

Academic Achievement: Require a minimum GPA of 3.0 

Transcripts: Applicants need to provide official transcripts from their current or previous educational institutions along with standardized test scores. 

Essay: Topics will be selected on opening date of scholarship.  Topic of the essay will be provided on November 1^st once application processes opens. 

Letters of Recommendation: At least two letters of recommendation are required. Along with three references. These letters should address why said application fits the scholarship requirements, and address any extracurricular activities said applicant has completed in the field.  

Resume:  A current resume detailing; 

·       Work Experience 

·       Extracurricular Activities 

·       Community Service 

·       Leadership roles 

Special Criteria: To qualify for this scholarship, one must be attending or looking to further education in the agricultural field.    

Interview: applicants may be required to participate in an interview as part of the selection process. 

Application Form: Applicant is required to fill out an application form with basic personal information. 

Career Goals: Outline career goals and how the scholarship will help them achieve said goals.
